Here Mararosaria Stigliano presents a series of engravings and some oil paintings.

“Suffused, nascent dreamlike vibration charaterized the work of Mariarosaria Stigliano.”- wrote Simone Fappanni -“A humanity which at times has indistinct somatic traits quivers in these pieces, and although they may be indistinct, they are always in any event pulsing with life.

They are for the most part men and women who move through environments that are elongated, almost like the mirror image reflection of their shadows, becoming themselves a sort of shadow. In this methamorphosis, where dream and reality find an unexpected link, an approach to everyday life begins, where the place does not take on the connotation of simple container, but of sensible prolongation, that is, of an element that contributes, in a decisive manner, to creating the multi-form nature of the real.

And this is why works in graphite of the stylistic temperature of Gare de paris Est and Direzione Obbligata and in mixed media Passeggiata are for the artist the ideal vehicle to sketch time going by, also those intense louminous bands. Cesare pavese rightly wondered: What good is living days that we dont’remember?”
